Location: San Clemente, CA | I need new tires and I want a little more traction than an R8-19.5. I have the Alcoas. What is a comparable sized tire with a wider foot print that I can run dually without contact?

I have been running Michelin 245/70R19.5 since 1997. They do run very close on the rear and will touch as seen by the polished sidewalls, but it's never been a problem. Not the best tire to use as far as handling and ride, I think they are too stiff (commercial tires). But they are much wider than the 8.00R19.5's and I think they look good. Frank. |

Thank you for your response. I was looking at Hercules H-702 in the rear and H-802's in the front. The H-702 is a more aggressive tread design. They want $1,225.51 mounted, balanced, new stem grommetts and valve stems, etc.
I have two FMC's and both are getting new tires, so price is a consideration. Michelins can be costly.
