BigRabbitMan - 2011-06-09 11:59 PM The complete engine package as described above has been sold. Due to changed circumstances for the buyer, the above items are again for sale. In the meantime, they have been removed from my coach and separated into three items/groups. The first is the engine with the Edelbrock MPI fuel injection system including the special manifold installed on it. This system injects fuel individually to each of the cylinders. I installed the Edelbrock system as I wanted consistent, easy starting of the coach whether hot or cold. And that is what it does. The engine itself was rebuilt about 10,000 miles ago and has taken me to the Midwest twice as well as around the West. It has the motorhome "torquer cam" which delivers good pulling power in the 2,600-3,600 rpm range. It also has a larger than normal oil pan which holds 10 quarts. If your engine is getting some miles on it, this would be the unit to pickup. You will have both a fresh engine and a modern fuel injection system. The second item is the Allison 540 transmission. It is a very robust 4 speed transmission. Its third and fourth gears are the same as second and third in the LoadFlite 727. The Allison's first gear is lower and the second gear is higher than first gear in the 727. This gearing is very advantegous in the mountains. If desired, the transmission cross member will be included with the transmission. The third item is actually a group. It is the cast adaptor, flex plate, spacer, and starter needed to attach a transmission with an SAE 3 mount to a big block (440 etc.) Chrysler engine. The Allison is an SAE 3 mount, but so are some other transmissions. Should you have an interest in any of the above items, please email me directly at Stephen@Heinrichs.com . At some point, these items will be sold through other outlets. Thank you for your consideration, |
