hemi354az,this is Lou, coach #120. If you need any info on your FMC,he knows it all. From the front bumper to the rear.I also am a new owner of coach #092.My coach in absolutely in mint condition, but it's been sitting for 4 years.Lou gave some things to look over before I start it,like if the coach sits for a while, the converter drains into the case which I thought my be a bad gasket. But the fluid builds up in the case and blows out the rubber O-ring on the tranny filler tube,WHO KNEW!!!! So you have to start the coach so the fluid is pumped back into the converter. So Lou recommended that you at least start it every 10 day if you intend to have her sit for a while. So if your seeking knowledge on your FMC,Louis is the man!! And my name is Ted from Connecticut,I am a mechanic by trade and am starting to learn a good amount about these really unique coaches,so I also am in a learning process,LOL !! If you have some questions, maybe I can help you out, other wise good luck with your newly acquired coach and maybe we'll see each other at a FMC east coast rally someday.

Do the waste burning systems work?

Questions are good thing!  The answers get tricky!

Mileage: Many get in the 6-8 mpg range.

Insurance: I use Foremost Insurance through my Farmer's Insurance agent.

Problems to watch for: Yes, watch everything!  The coach is three and half decades old so everything is suspect.  You just have to keep an eye on things and start fixing and updating things as needed or you desire to fix/update.

Tire pressure:  I run 85 lbs.  many others run less.  See the inflation tables for your tires and coach weight as published by your tire manufacturer.

The waste system still works on some coaches:  many are disconnected as exhaust system changes were made or some other failure happened.  They also had a tendency to have the inlet tubes plug.  You will have to investigate the system on your coach to get a definative answer that applies to your coach.  While doing other work, I recently discovered my Thermosan pump and removed it.  The pump still works and my grandson thinks it is a great toy!
