As a many of you know, I had considerable trouble with the genset last summer while attempting to get to the COS rally in record heat (no dash air).  I have a 1995 Onan Emerald Plus 6500 LPG unit. I have faithfully run it under load monthly during this winter.  It has been problamatic to say the least.  I recently refilled the propane tank and after about 20 minutes the unit really settled down and acted like it is supost to.  A little toucy untill it gets warmed up, but otherwise I'm quite happy with it.  I'm thinking I received a trash load of LPG early last summer.  Really lifted my spirits. I took the blue plastic off the coach today and posted pictures on the yahoo site.  Having the coach covered up for 2 1/2 months left me feeling like a fish out of water.  Ready to go a campin!!..

I realize that your generator runs from the gas side. That is good. Those that run from the liquid side sometime build up deposits of heavy stuff that plugs the carb and expansion valve. Perhaps the propane you got had too much butane in it.

I will be switching my unit over to propane as part of the diesel transformation.
