When this fails . . . you are "dead in the water". This item (Fig 15-1, Item 32 in Parts Book) on many FMCs is over 40 years old. Don't leave home without a spare ! If you have the type that has changeable bearings (Part # 6204-2RS) they are not easy to change without a press. That bearing is available at NAPA, O'Reilly, other Fine Auto Parts stores near you. You need two(2), and they are cheap.
The ones below are the NON CHANGEABLE TYPE, the radiator side of pulley is smooth. What type is yours ?
Better get that spare before they all disappear. The COST is IRREVALENT . . . when it fails, and you don't have a spare WITH YOU, your FMC is SCRAP.

These may be the only 4 left in the world !?!?!?
Idle ON ! Lou #120

ps: you may have to use some washers on the mounting bracket OR the pulley bolt itself to get this idler pulley aligned with the crank and Fan/WP Pulleys.
pss: I got rid of the Idler Pulley on my 440 engine.
