Hey,

It's looking like I'm going to be the owner of a set of 22.5" Alcoa's and the matching disc brake kit from an MCC that's being scrapped.

I suppose I should've measured the diameter of the wheel tubs on my coach before asking this, but thought I'd put it out there regardless.

I recall a conversation I had with Jim Black years ago about 22.5" wheels on FMC's and his opinion was that they pretty much, "...all rubbed." (inside the well)

Was in touch with Henry and his recollection was that his 22.5's were 37" diameter and already very tight.

So, to any of you who are running these wheels: what diameter are you running, is your suspension stock (OEM) and do they rub, while turning or otherwise?

Thanks in advance for any feedback.

When I looked into it I think the 255/70r22.5 was the shortest of the "readily available" tires, but it required a 6.75" wide wheel(as does the 235/80r22.5), a 9r22.5 is a bit taller but allowed for a narrower wheel both of these were at or just larger than 37" IIRC. Wheel width and suspension height will be major controlling factors.
