Subject: Alcoa wheel torque

Looking for the recomended torque for Alcoa wheels. My search of the Forum didn't find any results though I'm sure it's certainly 'operator error'. Thanks for any advise.

Thanks for the link. 450-500 ft lbs looks like the number I was looking for. I use a 3/4" Makita 115 volt impact just for the wheels. It's rated 500 clockwise, 550 counter clockwise. Use it on our Eagle bus for wheel work. At home I can always drag out the 1" IR gun with a 1/2" hose. I run the compressor at 175 lbs so it'll make quick work of most stubborn fasteners. Bit of a man killer though, guess I'm getting old.

Agreed. These days cordless impact guns are going off the chart with what you can do with them.
