The 17 inch tires are much more problematic to get serviced or replaced as few shops want to deal with the split ring wheel design. It is a major cost item to upgrade to the larger size as both the wheels and tires would need to be purchased. Upgrading is not required as tires and tubes are still available, but what is on the coach affects its value in a negative direction.
The other tire issue is their age. Tires over 10 years of age have a high failure rate and most people recommend replacing them at that point or earlier. Tires that sit fail sooner than those that are regularly flexed by use. |
