Brake Job and Redesign

standard brake job plus the addition of electric powered hydroboost system for the rear brakes

New Ford Taurus master cylinder fitted and plumbed. This offered the best overall fit in the space and some improved servicability. The bore size also matches well with the slave cylinders on the remote hydroboost units.


both ports tied together to feed rear brakes only, extra volume will reduce pedal travel

eaton field installable fittings cost about 3 times more than crimp fittings but it is nice to be able to do it yourself


pressure hose fabricated and installed, return and vent hoses also installed


I'll fabricate the hydraulic pressure hose with eaton field install-able fittings that are the same as I've used on my jeep for years.


5/8" fill hose and wiring will come in next weekend


all of this is still tucked out of the way but easy to service


fabricated mount bracket so that it is still easy to fill and has a good run down to the pump


Volvo factory reservoir


fabricated an alumimum mount bracket to pick up on two of the three factory mount spots


Volvo electric power steering pump mounted, the bulk of the weight rest on an isolator pad on the bottom side.


modified rear hub spline cap to add zerk fitting
