Bill (Mr. Mopar), Or any Mopar 727 guru, Should that pressure valve be open (all the way forward on the FMC) at full throttle?
Has anyone installed the Lokar cable? Do you need to buy any additional brackets to adapt it to the Thermoquad? Summit carries the Lokar products, and it's not clear to me if you need to buy the "throttle cable bracket" part along with the kick down cable?

Extreme Veteran ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Location: Ignacio Colorado | Something has been changed to cause this issue. If it is hitting the firewall, is there extra insulation? It is a 727 right. What carb? Oh I see Thermoquad! Manifold? Stock? Yes pretty much all the way toward front of FMC. You want the rod to be able to push the lever all the way! Then back it off until you still have forced downshift from 3rd to 2nd at pretty close to 50 mph. If it is adjusted too loose it can cause the friction material on clutches and intermediate band to burn. Bill

Elite Veteran ![]() ![]() Location: Medford, OR | It's an added heat shield that runs along the floor that it was hitting. Stock 440. I am going to do what's necessary to get that lever all the way forward at WOT. Thanks for your advice
