I have one sliding window latch that does not like to stay put. I used my bench grinder to take all the glue off and rough the metal a little. Cleaned it and the glass with Acetone and put back in place with Liquid Nails Mirror Adhesive with a clamp on it overnight. Seems to be holding well for a change. Will update after it has been used more.

I've used glass 2 part epoxy...failed.

Im using clear silicon now, so far they are holding. An RV repair shop says they always use silicon...My windows just stay closed right now though..Not using the rig yet. Give it a shot, and let us know.
