(69.113.227.218)		While going through original coach manuals today (looking for the brake booster stuff...), I came across items, including original FMC Owner's Card; and the coolness factor of #0075 just went up about 22,000 times! I cannot fathom that I've owned, and been tooling around with, and driving the coach of an American LEGEND!!! I don't think I'll be able to sleep for a couple of days. Yeah, it's like that. I'm sure others have their stories too; but is it frowned upon to post the info for any reason? Thx, Robert

(73.170.144.94)		I guess that is your call, but I can say that it is not uncommon for folks to talk about a famous previous owner (for instance, Clint Eastwood).

CBS reporter Charles Kuralt’s last coach for the “On the Road With Charles Kuralt” was FMC Motor Coach # 0010. It is now in the Henry Ford Museum at Dearborn, MI. Other FMC owner’s during that period; Mario Andretti, Pat Boone, James Brolin, Carol Burnett, Clint Eastwood, Parnelli Jones, Charlie Rich and Lyle Waggoner.

Mario & Parnelli once raced their coaches at Riverside International Speedway. One of them attempted to draft and sucked the windshield out of his coach, Jim Black got a call to replace it.

(69.113.227.218)		Sorry, I'm waiting to have someone take the wind from my sales... I have a feeling, that there are some out there that probably know this info; but anyway, it's none other than C.B. Clausen (founding member & 1st President of the Boozefighters motorcycle club, Builder of legendary machines at M/C Supply in L.A. (is address on FMC Owner's Registration Card, and there are service tickets with his signature on them!), builder/owner of "The Brute" that was "Faster than a Jet", co-inventor of the Stroker engine[?]; and on, and on, and on)! Now, I don't know if that is as huge in reality as it is in my mind; but it seems to me, after a quick google search, that I have good reason to be excited. To think, I've had this 2-1/2 yrs. There's a motivator, no?

(204.10.247.1)		I like to "think" my coach #850 was built when the factory was on their "A" game due to Clint Eastwoods, and Charlie Riches being the two RV's previously on the line built before mine (i think?)...hahahaha. I would like to know who originally owned 850, because there was A LOT of money and ingenuity used on 850 in the past...Oh wait, there still is!! Money anyway.....lol

(97.94.224.253)		The list of original owners still exists, but is not available. As told to me by Jim and Jackie Black, former owners of RVS, that at one point the original owner's name of a coach was given to a subsequent owner and some kind of problem developed. Subsequently, FMC was sued by the original owner for releasing the original owner's name. As a result of that, the Blacks were asked to and promised FMC that they would never release any original owner's names. With a few exceptions, they have stuck to that policy. When RVS closed, they retained the original owner list so it still exists but is not available.

(69.113.227.218)		well, if you haven't yet looked thru all the extra "stuff" that you got with your coach, do it! I had assumed that short of such a list (I figured someone had...) it might prove futile to find out. I think I'm 3rd owner, with 2nd (whom shall remain nameless; though I'm sure you know that too), only having taken a couple or few trips to Fla. & back. I don't know if he'd ever looked thru that stuff either. I bought it on the spot (verbal, and picked it up within a week), without even seeing it, when I had first seen another he showed up with at a local campground...

(72.88.129.131)		Just for the sake of mentioning, someone out there may have a coach (originally sold June 16, 1973) that originally belonged to Bert Heyl (Bert Heyl Enterprises). There is not too much easily available about him on the net (for my patience level), but he was a prominent member of society in Euless, TX; evidently. Associated with Western Hills Inn; an exclusive getaway for the rich and famous ([rumored] Elvis Presley?). The coach would have come with an Audiovox Stereo (I have the radio's warranty card, from FMC; no coach number...). for what it's worth...
