Expert Location: Cottage Grove, OR | I am getting ready to rework the front end of my coach #1046. As part of that I needed to locate tie rod ends. With the assistance of Lou #120, here is some info I put together.

Elite Veteran Location: Oceanside, CA | Have you found any of the vendors that make them with grease zerks? I've considered pulling mine off and drilling/tapping and installing my own..

Expert Location: Cottage Grove, OR | Len, While you have your coach in the air, I would recommend replacing all four ball joints, the eight tie rod ends, and the most overlooked item in the steering area, the four bushing that are in the pitman arm and idler arm brackets (two per bracket). That is what I am getting ready to do to my coach. My source for the bushings was Rockauto: http://www.rockauto.com/en/partsearch/?partnum=K8094 My source for the ball joints was Car Parts Discount: https://www.carpartsdiscount.com/ball-joint.html?3593=36095 These fit a 1960 Cadillac and are made by Rare Parts in Stockton, CA. Mine arrived today. There are many other sources for these parts as well. I think I am coming to the conclusion that replacing ALL of the above parts should just be considered a "50,000" mile maintenance procedure.

Elite Veteran Location: Oceanside, CA | I haven't had a chance to closely inspect any of that. I did notice in my huge stack of receipts that some of these items have been replaced but this falls into the "Future Len's" problem column, "Present Day Len's" problem column is full up..
