"Time marches on... and slowly, one-by-one we go... to that next 'Big Rally in the Sky!"

It is with a heavy heart that I'm writing about the passing of Lou Cruze, who fired-up his coach for the last time on the night of May, 6th. 2025

Thanks to Akasha for sharing the news of his passing with the FMC Clan on FB.

While FB has, sadly, become the most used platform for this group, I'd urge you to remember it is existentially only a temporary record; henceforth, I'd encourage all who knew Lou to share a thought or two here, too, for posterity.

As well, after reading many of your wonderful tributes on the FB platform, PLEASE COPY/PASTE YOURS HERE, if that suits you.

My online relationship with Lou over the last dozen years or more was just that, I never got to meet him in person; regardless, I wanted to.

Over the years lots of FMC owners would write about their visit to see Lou and Veronica, in Scottsdale. They'd opened their home and welcomed so many over the years.

He'd show off his coach with pride.

Perhaps no one in the FMC community knew as much, or, shared as much over the years as did, Lou.

For me, his most helpful contribution to the work I've done on my coach was his collaboration with Billy to re-work a Chrysler overdrive trans for an FMC. Following that blueprint, Lou, I have to say I'm happy as "a pig-in-shit" with my 47RH that now graces #846.

He never hesitated to reach out and help with answers or advice when he could.

Regardless he could be, okay let's just say, 'difficult' to converse with on occasion, the list of folks he'd helped over the years is long, very long.

I choose to remember Lou for all the times he helped folks as they far outweighed those times he'd mix-it-up with ya.

There are many in our community that knew Lou way better than I did so again, please take a moment to share your thoughts here, or tell a 'Lou story' you experienced.

'Rest In Peace, Lou!'

Terry
