I have posted a picture of the upper radiator hose on my FMC #120. Note that it has a short section of straight/curved steel pipe near the T-stat end. That hose on #120 is NAPA #7773 Radiator Hose. I also posted a picture of a NEW ($17) NAPA #7773 Radiator Hose "tied" right in front of my existing hose on #120. Also posted 3 pictures of the new #7773 hose showing the slight bend in one end. The #7773 hose is 1.5 inch on the upper end, and has a slight expansion to 1.75 inch made into the hose on the other lower end.

Even though my #120 upper hose has a short piece of pipe in it, I think that the bend in the one piece NEW hose would easily flex enough without a KINK in it, to not to need the pipe. However, I'm not ready to take my hose+pipe loose to find out just yet. If someone does try NAPA #7773 Radiator Hose on their 440 engined FMC, please let us all know how it fits.

The FMC Parts Book shows a couple different upper hoses, and some flanged pipe with the thermostat set-up six inches away from the circulating coolant (why ?), depending on Serial #. No telling what anyone has after 40 years and POs. There may be more than one water neck size at the T-stat end of the hose, and perhaps even a different size (recored or reworked upper tank return hose nipple) at the radiator.

Sorry, no photos. I have never been able to upload a single photo to this website , even though photos are less than 400KB in size and common .jpg. I must be an idiot. The Yahoo FMC website has the photos.
