Veteran ![]() ![]() ![]() Location: Oslo Norway | Parts Wanted Our list for needed spare parts is growing and we will place anorder for quite a bit of new parts. Shipping cost is a major factor so we want to get as much as possible on one shipment. But if any of you have any of the following used original parts lying around after upgrading your coach we could buy it from you. I will ask MCR if they are willing to pack any parts bought from members together with the things I will take from them, if so we could ship via Illinois. Original stove and oven. Orange plastic “Shower Maid” folding shower door. (does not need to be complete, we only need one of the segments) Rear bed bunks with or without cabinets. Plastic garbage bin, for the countertop. Door for the Coleman furnace Ashtray Good condition original grab handle outside the passenger door. Lear jet loudspeaker plastic grille (covers) Good condition or repairable original side mounted mirrors. Thank you Kjetil

Veteran ![]() Location: Illinois | Kjetil - All I need is your credit card and I will accumulate parts and ship when you say. Many other Used parts are available from MCR used parts inventory and give good savings. MCR does maintain many new and rebuilt parts exclusively for our FMC Motor Coaches. Thank You - Leslie

Veteran ![]() Location: Illinois | Kjetil - I just printed your photo of floor of FMC #0477. It is Rusty - but NO way near as bad as most FMC Coaches that we have taken apart at MCR. With acid etch primer sprayed on all structure after you change cross structure members - You should have no problem containing corrosion that exists. Keep in mind to place new structure at flooring joints since FMC somehow did not pay attention to this requirement. Leslie - FMC #0938

Veteran ![]() ![]() ![]() Location: Oslo Norway | Ok, it really looks better now it is cleaned out. I guess most or all coaches have problems with rust in floor structure if it has not been sorted. I'm currently gone skiing for a few days but I am looking forward to start working on the coach again next week. My family is very happy that we have sourced the bunk beds now, I will contact you regarding payment of parts soon. Thank you Kjetil

Veteran ![]() Location: Illinois | Kjetil - A thought on your mirrors. If you would want to keep the cast aluminum mirrors, I could sell you a undamaged head for $200. Otherwise, if you would send me your cast aluminum mirror set, I would sell the set for you and you would receive 2/3 of the sale price. Have fun skiing and let me know about mirrors when you send me funds for parts. Most coaches have completely rusted on the bottom 1/4 of the cross structure so your FMC's structure looks good by comparison. Leslie

Veteran ![]() ![]() ![]() Location: Oslo Norway | Ok Leslie, I will think about what to do about the mirrors. I want to try if I can do ok with original style mirrors and back-up camera, but I think it might be a challange wit the the 6,3m trailer behind. The Ramcos are very good but I really think they look strange. Kjetil #477

Veteran ![]() Location: Illinois | Kjetil - The first impression of the Ramco Mirrors is that they are too large - BUT once you have had previous experience with the original size mirrors - the Ramcos are wonderful. And after a time the size of the mirrors vanishes from ones thoughts. I had the same impression with the 22.5 inch Alcoa Wheels and the wider windshield weatherstrip BUT after a short time those thoughts vanished also. Furthermore, I should think the larger mirror would be of great assistance with the large trailer. But I have only pulled a 14 foot trailer with my FMC. HAPPY TRAILS - Leslie - FMC #0938

Veteran ![]() ![]() ![]() Location: Oslo Norway | Thank you Leslie, Martin is brave little warrior and he is doing fine. He is going to have extensive treatment to his mouth and teeth’s. This will take more than a year to finish. Cost is estimated to a couple of good FMC’s. I guess in a few weeks the situation will be sorted regarding the financing of this treatment. We just have to put all expenses on hold until insurance has confirmed they will pay like they are supposed to. Last week #477 has got work done again and I will post updates in the gallery as soon as the problems on the website is sorted. I hope you and yours are all ok. Cool runnings. Kjetil
