Plenty of amps for cranking the beast also in cold weather. | (1 Comments) I wanted the outlets in the bottom. Wish I had made them towards the center of the coach instsead to keep them away from the exhaust. | (1 Comments) The all new stainless fuel tank. This tank is made with a smaller "footprint" but it is a little taller, volum is 72 gallons. Made it like this to give room for good insulation on the outside of the tank. | Up front looking down at the new housing for the 4x6v dry batteries. All coated with an active rust primer, it is a one-pack waterthinable acrylic copolymer primer designed for use in ballast tanks on ships. Looks like it is a black colored coating but it is not, it is transparent when you put it on, then it turns black when the primer reacts with the steel. I will have two coats of epoxy on top of this when everything is ready. |
The 110v airconditioners had to go. This is the door with the airintakes covered. It is not painted but gelcoated. One day I hope to have done this to the whole coach. | This is what it looks like when finished. Door frame feels rock solid. | Making the new frame fixture.Had to pull the frame a little down in the rear at first, then the whole frame was adjusted a little forward at the lower end to make it square. I spendt almost a whole day on and it was a bit tricky to get it right. | So weak from rust it could be bendt away from frame by hand very easy. |
Origial (improved) door frame to main frame fixture. Door frame was almost straight but moving around making the door opening up while driving. | Rear left new outer and cross member. | Rear right frame tube cut out. | Made a new larger reinforcement in the rear because I belive this is possible point of stress in coach structure. 23/4 |
