Decided to move the diff forward as per Stephem's suggestion. I limited the move to 1 3/4" to help maintain exhaust distance. Here is the template I made out of some scrap laying around.

I transfered the 7" bolt pattern of the differential mounting to the plate and added the hole 1.75"further along it. Using this I placed a bolt in the new hole (1.75" hole) and transfered the 7" pattern.

Here is a shot of the transfer punch. All that was left was drilling the 4 3/4" holes in the 1.5" thick by 2 1/2" differential support. Lots of chips. Sorry I didn't get any pictures of the actual support.

Got to start on some of the fun stuff. Here's the pass side motor mount to frame bracket. It'll be bolted in for ease of removal.

Another view of the pass side mount.

This backing plate will go on the inside frame rail to distribute the load.

Here's the bracket installed.

Home made alignment tool.Look's pretty close.

From above.

Had to cut out more than I figured.

Need to get rid of some of the excess parts and pieces but looks like there is room everywhere with the additional 1.75" forward movement of the package.
