West Coast Gold Beach Rally - July 2013
Author: BigRabbitMan (Show all albums)

This album covers a little bit of the fun we had at the Gold Beach, OR rally. We had 8 FMC coaches plus three more owners whose coaches were not able to travel at this time. This rally was unusual in that we had a major Saturday activity with a jet boat ride up the Roque River. It was enjoyed by all that could make it. The photos are courtesy of Stephen Heinrichs, Nuntawan Camrye, and Larry Enoksen.

After breakfast, we eased our way up to the platform to have a club business meeting. The meeting was called to order by VP Greg Miller with minutes taken by Liza Lee Miller. In this photo we have Carlton Camrye - Alternate National Director (behind the flowers), Ed and Evelyn Hannevig, Stephen Heinrichs - National Director, Jim Woestman, Laura and Dean Lumibao, Greg Miller - Western VP, and Larry Enoksen.

Ruth Miller and Joe Camrye also attended.

In this picture (from the previous evening) we have Gage Miller, Greg Miller, Ed Hannevig, Stephen Heinrichs, Ed Marshall and Liza Lee Miller.

On Friday evening, we had been visited by Al Vormittag (and his wife Bobbi) who is the President of the International Area (INTO) of FMCA. This also makes him a VP of FMCA and one of the new leadership group at FMCA. This is the third time that he has been able to visit one of our rallies. Al announced that the FMC Club newsletter had achieved first place among all INTO area newsletters. He also has stated that we are the type of group that all groups could emulate as we are relaxed, include all age groups and have fun RV'ing. And I agree! Please note that the quality of the newsletter only reflects the quality of the contributions from the club members so start thinking of what your contribution will be. Ruth Miller is working on hers now!

Now it is time to formally meet the attendees. Here are Evelyn and Ed Hannevig, #520 of Independence, OR. They had a brake issue and so they came in their car and stayed in a rented 5th wheel at the park. But they were there!

This is Larry Enoksen, #968 of Cupertino, CA with his "fetching" dog, Baby.

From Lake Balboa in Southern CA we have Ed Marshall, #848 and from Cresent City, CA his sister, Debbie Marshall.

This is Laura (holding Mindy) and Dean Lumibao, #886 of Cresent City, CA. If you look at the picture of their coach at the last rally you will note that the color scheme is different. In the week before the rally, they personally repainted their coach. It looks nice and notice the date on the front.

Just in case you are following him, Dean also put the coach number on the back.

Since Stephen Heinrichs - National Director, #1046, and still moving to Cottage Grove, OR has still not completed the Duramax conversion, he is driving his trusty Silverado with 273,000 miles on it. He needs to get the conversion done soon to give the Silverado a rest.

Here is Carlton Camrye - Alternate National Director, #888, with his wife, Nuntawan and son Joe just finished moving from Benicia, CA to Carmichael, CA. Sampson enjoys being held.

Please welcome our newest members, Alice Kamm and Michael Metsch, #966, from Portland, OR. Their coach started out as a J model and was convered to an M before they got it and now Michael is converting it to "something else" of their own design. They really appreciated the opprotunity to see the interiors of a number of the coaches to get ideas to guide their own remodeling. Due to that project, their coach was not usable for the rally but they came anyway.
