This will be the rally location. Which chair will you be sitting in?

It is time for the West Coast Ocean Cove rally of 2011 to begin! And, by jove, I believe I see an FMC coming 'round the bend!

What's this? Why this is the caravan of three coaches that began with Harry and Sandy Day in Salem, OR and went on and picked up Ed and Evelyn Hannevig in Independence, OR and then swung over to the coast and picked up Dean and Laura Lumibao of Cresent City, CA. In this picture the road enters the picture from the middle of the right side, continues behind the hill and up the hill, swings around behind the photographer and then exits to the upper left of the picture.

Where did the road lead them? Why it lead to this great, relaxing location on a bluff overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Japan is a few miles to the right.

With this closer view, you can see that we had the bluff area for the rally, a sandy area half way down on the right for children to play and a rocky area in the center to explore and collect abilone and mussel shells.

In this picture are eleven FMC coaches. See if you can count them.

In the begining, we have Greg Miller, Western V.P and rally organizer, helping Jim Woestman get #617 settled in on the bluff looking out towards Japan.

Adjacent and uphill from Jim is coach #507 which is now driven by it's second owners, Rod and Cindy Lee Dahlgren. It's original owner was hoping to attend as well, but passed away a few weeks ago. This is probably the most traveled coach as it has been all over the USA including Alaska and down into Mexico and has also traveled in South America. The interior is still original including the orange shag carpeting.

Well, Harry and Sandy Day made it up the hill in #400. It is also largely original and its original gel coat really shines. Of the attendees, they have owned their coach the longest having purchased it in 1991. They have made many trips across the country and into Nova Scotia in this coach.

Here is Ken and Lynn Clugston's coach #705. It has a Detroit and many other upgrades including a complete transformation of the interior to a nautical theme with lots of wood including the ceiling.

Here is another view of Ed Hannevig's coach #520. It is a very clean mostly original coach. It is a very light beige base color which Ed discovered is a Land Rover color.

Here is the beautiful coach #886 from Cresent City, CA. Dean and Laura Lumibao did a good job of staying on Harry's bumper coming up the hill!
